LACONIA, NH: We are happy to announce that five out of the seven “Katrina” dogs we featured on our site from the New Hampshire Humane Society have found homes. (click the Adopt link above if you haven’t seen this page already)

I just spoke to Lauren, the K9 adoption manager at NHHS, and she said that two of five adopted dogs are going to Project Starfishers. That made my day, thanks to all of you! And to those who called but didn’t get a dog, don’t give up. There is a transport of about 15-20 dogs from Broken Down Dogs to NHHS next week. Also, Theodore and Cecilia are still available. Details will be posted as they become available.

To those Starfishers who adopted these two dogs, we would love to hear from you. We will be launching a “happy tails” section of our website where you can share photos and stories of your new family member.

Also, to those outside of New Hampshire, we also have dogs for you. We are in the process of getting them on the site. The next state with Katrina dogs is Georgia. Check back often.
