HARTFORD, CT: I have been trying to find out which pounds have the highest kill rate and one of you told me about City of Hartford Animal Shelter in Newington, CT. All dogs at this pound are urgent—dogs only get 8 days to be adopted before being euthanized. We have posted eight of the dogs closest to death. Please consider one of these dogs.
