Today was an extremely busy day. Multiple transports from six different states are all happening this weekend. Each one has its own needs and it took close to 50 emails and another 50 phone calls to and from many different volunteers to get things settled. Trips to the vet, picking up animals, allocating animals according to various needs of each state and shelter, and general coordination took many many hours from so many dedicated people.
As of right now, we have:
-
A transport of about 50 dogs leaving Louisiana this evening heading to New England (NH, VT, ME).
-
A transport of about 100 dogs will be going to Daytona, FL on Saturday
-
On Sunday, a transport of about 50 dogs will be going to Wisconsin
All dogs will be photographed and posted on PetFinder. The receiving shelters are all well-respected organizations that will manage this process.
We will have photos and more details of these transports as they become available.
